Assignment data from the ECPR Summer School, Ljubljana 2008.

There were 32 students (22 female and 10 male) in the 4th class of Sociology, Social Science Informatics, Faculty of Social Sciences, Ljubljana. Students know each other very well. Several networks were generated using the following questions:

  1. as1.net. Suppose you have a birthday next week and you organize a party. Whom would you like to invite to the party? Choose as many students as you wish.
  2. as2.net. Suppose there will be an organized trip by a bus next week. With whom would you like to sit on the neighboring seats? Choose as many students as you wish.
  3. as3.net. Who would you select to inform you about important news in school, if you were out of school because of illness? Choose as many students as you wish.
  4. as4.net. Sometimes you cannot be present at the lectures. From whom would you like to borrow the teaching material? Choose as many students as you wish.
  5. as5.net. With whom do you discuss important personal issues? Choose as many students as you wish.
  6. as6.net. From whom would you borrow a small amount of money (e.g. 20 EUR)? Choose as many students as you wish.
  7. as7.net. With whom do you discuss important personal issues? Choose no more than 3 students.
  8. as8.net. Suppose you have a birthday next week and you organize a party. Whom would you like to invite to the party? Choose no more than 3 students.
  9. as9.net. Suppose there will be an organized trip by a bus next week. With whom would you like to sit on the neighboring seats? Choose no more than 3 students.
  10. as10.net. Who would you select to inform you about important news in school, if you were out of school because of illness? Choose no more than 3 students.
