we are happy to announce the release of the first stable version of our Fuzzy Cognitive Mapping (concept mapping) software FCMapper. It is available for FREE at www.FCMappers.net.

It is based on excel and allows an easy and quick analysis and simulation of fuzzy cognitive maps. It produces Pajek net-files for visualising the causal network. For that purpose it includes the possibility to transform matrix coded networks in net-files (you can set colours, line-width, shape etc., create groups with the same design for similar nodes etc…)

Fuzzy Cognitive Mapping is a combination of fuzzy logic and cognitive mapping it was initially developed by Bart Kosko. It can be used to extract knowledge from stakeholders, experts or literature in form of a directed network of concepts (=nodes) where the links between the concepts display weighted causal relations. For more information visit our site at www.fcmappers.net .

If you have any additional questions do not hesitate to contact us!

cheers Martin & Michael
