When Pajek runs, does it create any temporary (or permanent) files on
the C drive, other than those that the user explicitly saves?
What about the log file(s)?
If so, how can I redirect them to a drive of my choice?

The simplest way is to install Pajek to non-write protected directory, since Pajek writes ini file, report file and log files to the directory where it is installed. This directory can be on some other (not C) drive.

There are other options to this problem:

  • if you associate the extension .net with Pajek.exe then double-clicking on the net file will run Pajek on it. The Pajek system files will be written in the net file's directory;
  • you can add into Pajek's program directory the file pajek.dir with a path to directory for Pajek system files.
